The Grind Finale

I got it cleared. $83.89 total. The last hand I lost, but I forgot which hand.
Now it's time to read up on the various books I have to better understand how to play low-level tournaments for now.

The journey begins.

Grind - Part 5

God I'm getting sick of low limit cash games. I have around 132 hands to go. This is nauseating. Note to anyone (at all) reading this - space out the grind if you do the PSO instant bankroll offer. Too much of this can just be sickening.

I'll probably post again after completing the offer. Take care.

Grind Update - Part 4

300 more hands to go. I just want this stupid thing over with. These people are terrible. I lost this morning with AA all-in vs. 99. Fucker gets quads of all hands. Worst of all, some railbird starts laughing at me in the textbox.

Some people just don't have any class. Updates coming as I keep grinding it out.

The Grind - Part 3

Well, 462 more raked hands to go out of 1000, putting my percentage of completion at exactly 53.8%. I should be able to pull it off within the next 2-3 days or so. It's kinda boring grinding out bonuses, but it's worth it in the end.

I had my pocket queens cracked twice, which lowered my bankroll a bit. I also got coolered, running into trip queens vs. my trip 4s, which kinda pissed me off, as the previous two hands had a runner-runner straight against my trips and a few hands further back had a river flush against, you guessed it, my trips.

I'm slowly getting through some selected reading. I find that my best move is to combine book knowledge with my own decisions - probably why I'm not world champ, or even rich :D

If you want some poker fun, be sure to read Plus EV, a comic/blog. It's good for a laugh. :-)

Wish me luck, these donks are starting to piss me off :-O

The Grind on Party - Part 2

Well, I'm nearly 30% of the way done just today. I'm playing on two tables to try and increase the rakes, as morning/afternoon play is much slower than the evening, when the fish cakes come out to play ;-)

I cleared my withdrawal request from wass poker ($58 cdn) bringing my bankroll so far to around $322, which isn't bad, considering the entire roll is from freerolls/small tournaments.

If I can clear the party bonus, it should put me well over the $400 mark. This would lead me to start seriously considering tournament runs, instead of half-assed freeroll participation.

In other discussions, my buddy Carlos has been studying away at Sklansky, Brunson et al. to try and begin his bankroll increase as he too is doing the Party bankroll promotion. You can find it at www.pokersourceonline.com. Use the reference PenaltyMan2 for the PartyPoker promotion if you don't mind ;)

The grind is on

It's been a while, but I'm back for now.

I'm playing on party poker for now, grinding out a $100 bonus for 1000 raked hands. So far, I'm cruising rather nicely. I hope I can clear the bonus rather quickly. It'd be nice to start a real journey into bankroll management with the countless tournaments and SNGs on Party, or Stars for that matter.
